About Midwest Ancestor Research
We offer individualized genealogy research services, tailored to your needs. Located in Minnesota, we have access to primary records in the Midwestern United States - Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa.
We have experience researching in many of the counties of these states, having researched our own ancestors over the past 8 years.
We are professional genealogists and partners. Among our experiences:
- French Canadian Fur Traders in Minnesota and Wisconsin
- Norwegian immigrants to Minnesota & Wisconsin
- Irish coal miners in Pennsylvania and Illinois
- Colonial immigrants and their migration to the Midwest

Our background:
- Mary is a former software developer and website designer. She has a working knowledge of Spanish, Italian and Latin. Genealogy-related memberships:

- Irish Genealogical Society International (board member & secretary)
- Association of Professional Genealogists
- Sheila has a working knowledge of German, French and Spanish. She has also studied Russian and Irish Gaelic. She is currently working to expand MWAR offerings to include video and DVD family histories. Genealogy-related memberships:
